Subject: 想買一支用一世的ALTO
我想換一支alto,又不想換完再換,打算儲錢買一支過世的,我想不多過三萬都可以付擔得來,請問大家有冇介紹,或給我一些建議.

in my point of view, instrument is like a lover. You will keep it if you love it very much. You won't keep it if you don't love it, even it's an expensive one. Expensive saxophones are thought to be good. However, different ppl would have different feeling on individual saxophone. Maybe someone can make a good sound from one saxophone while you cannot; maybe vice versa. It is totally subjective.
So, I would suggest you to go to different piano companies and try different saxophones before buying your beloved one. Asking your saxophone playing friends and trying their instrument is also a good approach to find your beloved instrument.
Of course if you are not trying to find a saxophone to use life long, what I said is bull shit.

如果可以的話就 markVI 啦,但係好難搵到又正又平,你可以試下Selmer的 Reference 54 或"Bird" edition,都十分之好聲

小弟只是學了一年alto,用過的色士風不過3支,又沒有這方面的朋友,所以真的不太會選購一支好的.
小弟不是有錢的人,實在沒有能力可以一支又一支的換,所以現在打算開始儲錢,最快到要年底才買得到,現在只是想大學給給我意見,讓我有一個明確目標而已.
看過很多討論都說mark 6很好,但我行琴行時從沒看過,究竟是一支怎樣的色士風.而又要多少錢呢?而之前大家所說的又大約是什麼價錢呢?

mk6 is a vintage saxophone. No newly production now.
you can only find a used one from 2nd hand market. But you need to test it before you buy becos the quality vary alot. The price vary alot also.
Reference 54 is a current production by Selmer. It is made with reference to mk6. Many positive reviews on this saxophone, claiming that this is another wonderful saxophone made by Selmer after mk6. However, not always have sales in TomLee, and the price is around 34000HKD.
Unlike student model, good professional saxophone can keep their value for quite a long time. So, even you "一支又一支的換", it won't cost you so much.
In Hong Kong, not many professional models you can find in piano company. Selmer series III (sometime ref54) and Yamaha customs are the topest model you can easily find and buy in HK. Both are around 30000HKD. Yanagisawa (you can find in 譜揚) may be a good choice for you. However, some ppl say that Alto is not their master piece. I don't know, I never tried an yanagisawa Alto.
Trust me, don't hesitate to go to Tom Lee and try their saxophone before buying. The sales won't scold you. You can never find your beloved saxophone without a deep touch with it.
