I find some good CDs recently and like to share my findings with you.
1.) Bossa Antiqua - Paul Desmond (especially "Bossa Antigua")
2.) The best of Paul Desmond (especially "Romance De Amor")
Basically, all songs in these CD are good and worthwhile to buy one. In fact, I know that it is quite difficult to find Paul's CD in HK, but if you really like some sort of soft, clear and light alto sax sound (�ŬX�M�ΪA��n��ť�jTenor sax ��), don't miss them. (I find there still one "Bossa Antique" left in Hong Kong Records - Admiralty's branch, if you can't find them, asked the staff - Anthony of Jazz section, he is nice and helpful.) I hope that you will enjoy his music too.

Hi, I find another good CD - "TIME OUT" by The Dave Brubeck Quartet and HMV's discounted price is HK$69. You can check it out in http://www.amazon.com and listen to the samples. Especially, take five and Blue Rondon A La Turk, they are great and worth to keep.

Recently, I find a good CD for those who love Bossa Novas, try!
CANNONBALL'S BOSSA NOVA by Cannonball Adderley with the Bossa Rio Sextet of Brazil.
especially the songs - clouds, groovy sambas & O Amor Em Paz, etc

Please listen to this Miami's saxophonist - Ed Calle, his playing is wonderful and with beautiful overtone. Highly recommended to those who like smooth jazz and contemporary music. Check it out.

Sorry for my late reply as I have just got his new album "Ed Calle plays Santana". As expected, all tracks are good and enjoyable (especially if you dimmed the light and played his music in a quiet place), while my favorite one is "Flor D'Lina".
In fact, I love Calle's music not because the tracks itself are famous already or any other reasons, but simply I love his warmth and sensual tone, his interpretation and the feelings of his passion within. Hope you enjoy them too.

For those who love smooth jazz, don't miss the following albums by Eddie Higgins Quartet featuring Scott Hamilton:
1. My foolish heart
2. Smoke gets in your eyes
The sound of Scott's tenor is warm and soft. And his blowing is musical and rthymic. It is funny that you can even clearly hear his wonderful sax technique (e.g.tonguing, vibrato and staccato, etc......) in his songs.
The CD is published by Venus Records and is 24 bit gold. I buy this CD at HK$98 in Mongkok (while the listed price at amazon on line is about US$40). E-mail me if you want to buy them too.
