禽日下晝五點幾練 sax. 練練下管理員按鐘,
話樓下有人投訴我嘈...
嘩大佬, 日光日白, 五點幾喎.
我當然唔理佢, 我話我覺得自己冇錯.
佢叫我關窗練. 我亦唔肯.
佢無奈走左, 但係都搞到我冇乜心機.
明明練緊長音練得幾好. 佢走左我再練就集中唔倒精神, 練到走哂樣...
真係煩.
你地有冇 d 類似糟遇?

Of course, yes la! Because I am a sax player too.

Try to close your windows and turn on air conditioner during playing. It hopes the volume will be reduced. If you know the complainant, try to explain sincerely what are your constriants and your schedule to let they understand your situation. The resolution is about mutual agreement and patience. If the situation turns worse, he/she can call police anytime and it may lead to prosecution.

Please be aware that there is no time restriction for noise created by music instrument playing (unlike construction noise). Provided that the sound of instrument is annoying (by sense of complainant only), it could lead to prosecution. Please read the Noise Control Ordinance attached for your reference.

Try to resolve it ASAP, otherwise you would have no good mood to play and will be in trouble if you keep playing.

(b) 使用揚聲器、傳聲筒或其他擴音裝置或器具；
(c) 進行任何遊戲或消遣活動；或
(d) 經營生意或業務。
(2) 任何人於任何時間，在住用處所內操作，或促使或准許操作，任何空氣調節或通風系統、或空氣調節或通風系統的任何部分，而發出的噪音對任何人而言是其煩擾的根源，即屬犯罪。
(3) 任何人於任何時間，在住用處所或公眾地方畜養動物或雀鳥，而該動物或雀鳥發出的噪音對任何人而言是其煩擾的根源，即屬犯罪。
(4) 任何人於任何時間，在任何公眾地方之內或附近，為吸引他人注意其貨物、商品或生意而發出噪音，而該噪音對任何人而言是其煩擾的根源，即屬犯罪。
(5) 任何人犯本條所訂的罪行，可處罰款$10000。 (由1994年第2號第9條修訂)

the best way to practice is to open up your wardrobe and blow into it.....your clothes will absorb all sound ....your neighbours won't here a thing... thaz how i do

i mean just blow into the wardrobe from standing outside, not walking into the wardrobe and blow.... haha

You need to realize the sound of saxophone is really loud! I usually go into a room with a sofa and clothes hanging next to the window. Windows closed obviously. That works for me and never get complaints. Matter of fact, once I start practising saxophone, my neighbour above will also start practising piano, like a dual..ha

Playing in front of ur wardrobe, not inside it !

It really works, but the resonance feeling will be gone as there is less multiple relection of sound waves
