thanks, but further questions, where to buy saxophone is the most fair? since i am very beginner , actually not yet start learn, so I would plan to buy saxophone concerning the price and reputation of the reseller.

I learn from Wesley 2 year and my Alto is Yamaha 275, brought from Tomlee cost around $7000. it's good for begineer and the sound is easy catch up and stable. I also have question which one better for begineer, Julipter, china made unknown brand?? yes they are cheap 2000-4000 around, if you play longer and want to upgrade, that cheaper brand resell value very low compared with Yamaha.
If you are begineer and still not sure your love play sax or not, my suggestion is renting. start learn to discover yourself before own a new.

One month ago I have emailed to Mr Wesley Cheng asking about saxophone lessons for beginners, he replied that new students may try the saxophones he provides before buying one. His email and contact no. are available in his homepage http://home.netvigator.com/~wesleykc/wesley.htm

I am his student,
his cost HKD 250, 45 min
learn in his Basic note band room in Mongkok
this teacher is pretty good, althrough you have no idea of music, He also a music teacher in secondary school
If you talking about private teacher, 250 is reasonable

I asked him about the course too, but found quite expensive compratively speaking, as it cost around the same as a US Berkley graduated sax professional........

Yes, you are right. The course fee is quite expensive but do you know whether he teach saxophone well? Do you have any comments on him from others?

I have ask a Berkley graduated sax player in HK and his course fee is around 5 to 6 hundred per hour.... then I sent a e-mail to Wesley and he quote me half of that price. I think he is reasonable.

This "seafood price" are crazy! Don't be fooled!
My teacher who is a professional of a music production house, and a band director and jazz saxophonist for almost 40 years,
is charging me for only $300 per hr.
Be careful.
By the way, i think a beginner need not to find a professor to teach, just like not necessary for a master graduate to teach kindergarden.....
