Subject: MC Gregory is superb!!!

as I mentioned earlier....

It arrived and I tried it out yesterday...I am still waiting for my alto piece....this is a tenor Model B.

I think in sound wise, it is not excessively loud, but yes you can make it loud...maybe this is due to the not very big openning.....

the control is amazing....I never felt that a tenor can be played so easily before....

I use a Rovner Dark alto ligature and it does fit the MCGregory piece...

Paul Desmond??!! maybe when the alto piece arrive I can tell you better.....I do put the tenor mpc on alto to play....well.....it is quite bright and indeed a little of Desmond.....anyway I shall wait for the alto mpc...

damn...this board is so dead....

anyway...my MCGregory alto piece arrived...

:) superb as usual...great control....even better than the sololist....but the sololist has a more focus sound...

the gregory piece is also concentrate but only to the inner(est) part of the sound....sololist is broader....

and....Desmond!!! yes...it is relatively much easier to be like him on a MCGregory....I tried with my sololist....can get the feeling but not easy and not match as well as this piece...

Great!!!
