Subject: Yahama YAS-82z Special Edition

Hi, I've visited Miki Music Shop in Shinsaibashi (¤ß斎¾ô) Osaka today and found that they have crossed over with Yahama to produce a special edition of Yahama YAS-82z model called "Miki Original". The whole body is made by sterling silver. As told by the salesperson, the bell and keys setup are different from the regular 82z model. Through his trial performance, I think this special model could maintain the bright tone of 82z whilst the tone quality is much solid than the brass model. Donno if Tom Lee would introduce it soon.

Does the shop has the tenor YTS-82zU (unlacquar)? What is the price? I really want to know it. Thank you for your information.

Hi,
1. The price of this sax (before sales tax) is JPY398,000 (i.e. ~HKD26,000);
2. The price of YTS-82ZUL (before sales tax) is JPY410,000 (i.e. ~HKD27,000).

Thank you so much for your immediate reply. By the way, do you know any good shop(s) for buy 1st/2nd hand saxophone in Japan? I'm thinking to visit Japan and buy a tenor sax there (if time and money is possible).

Hi Felix,

You can try the Miki music shop that I've mentioned before. The address is 大阪市中央区心斎橋筋１-９-４ パルコ南隣. If you've visited shinsaibashi before, you can find the shop easily cause it is located at the main street.
