Subject: First Leopard

Just thought I would peek in and say hi.

After hearing quite a bit about how nice Leopard curs are over the years from a friend who's uncle had them several years ago I decided to get one and see just how great of a dog they are.

I was supposed to get one from Perry Lambert but unfortunately the breeding did not take :(

We attended Autumn Oaks this year and as far as I know there were only 2 litters there. I bought the last puppy there was. He seemed a bit shy and reserved at first but quickly warmed up to me. I think they called him socks but I renamed him to Buster. I have to say that my friend was totally right about how great a dog they are. My daughter who doesn't like any of my hounds (I have black and tans and they can be very rowdy) She really likes the new leopard cur. He's a very calm and easy going puppy. She was laying on the bed the other day and he was snuggled up with her sleeping. We also have chinese cresteds (toy dogs) and he is very good with them as well.

We plan on training Buster to hunt when he gets old enough. I'm really excited to see how he does at it.
