Subject: What a Shame

It has been many months since I viewed this site, but I,ve heard a lot thru the grape vine; and seen a couple things with my own eyes.Since I've been a member of the breeders assoc. since 1970, and had the priveledge to personally know and hunt with several of the founding breeders, I feel qualified to comment. I never got a survey but that's fine. I didn't expect one, since my dues were a tad late, but consistant, last thirty years or so.Very few breeders today, were around thirty years ago. Ive seen dogs with a white spot, or two.The genetics for color are far more complex than some think, but COLOR is not what makes a Leopard Cur. What about bawl mouth?? some say that's a hound voice, not a Cur . Was that on the survey?? How many breeders participated in this thing?
I,m not sure if my dogs will fit the new standards, but they still fit the criteria that those early breeders bred for. I sure miss the way it was back then.
Still breeding the same strain I started with. For better Leopards; papers or not! Rex
