Subject: Jagdterrier Pups

I will be having a litter of Jagds around the 4th of July and they will be ready to go near the end of Aug. I have bred this litter in order to have a replacement for my older male Payton von McDonough. He is the sire of Jack & Sharron Jones' Fly and Spidy Man and many other good Jagdterriers. Payton won best male of breed 2 out of 3 years at the American Terrier Fest in Iowa and was beat by his son on the 3rd year recieving reserve male. Paytons sister was 2nd in the running for squirrel dog of the year in 2002 and most of the pups out of Payton tend to be slightly leggier than your average jagd. Payton placed in the go to ground the one year that I tried him on it at the American Terrier Fest and did that despite never having done any ground work previously. He is for the most part a coon dog, open on track, and trees like a hound. He also can be commanded to hunt individual species of animals and will readily switch from cats to rats to squirrel to coon to fox and back to any of the above. He lives in the house and gets along, in the box, on the tree or anywhere with any other dog that does not bite him. He will tolerate just about anything from any puppy and is very patient with cildren also. He thows a very large percentage of tree dogs to boot.
I bred Payton to a female that i picked up last year. Her parents came from and were both certified at every level in Germany on their testing standards. She is a very nice female that has as much go as you think you can handle. I did not raise her so she has not been trained on everything that Payton is but she does go to ground and hunts tree game and in the short time I have had her she has taken to water retrieval and ratting in addition to her other talents. A very, very good female!
I will be keeping one female out of this litter to raise and breed back to Payton at a later date (pending her proving her abilities). The rest of this litter will be for sale. If you would like to add a great little hunt terrier that is capable of handling any job that ANY other dog thinks he can do to your pack you are welcome to place your order now. Pups will only be held with a deposit and the balance is required at pickup. I have my own dog hauler and can ship, at a very resonalbe rate to anywhere in the lower 48 and many places in Canada, if you need it. All pups $400 picked up and $600 delivered.

Take care,
Dan McDonough
