Subject: Have questions - need answers

I have been making some calls from a 2004 yearbook, and hope to hear some good news about a dog tommorrow, but am still trying to learn more about these dogs.

I would be glad to call anyone willing to try answer some of my questions. I know there are different lines of these dogs with different traits, both in appearance and hunting characteristics. At this point I know what I want, but not what lines or breedings to look for to get it.

I have heard more info from non leopards owners than those who do own them and would like some more first hand info. I have heard they start late, but also heard they start as early as the Mt Curs, heard of slow track dogs and fast ones, heard of them being only chop on track but also of some with bawl mouths. I basicaly am looking for an improved hound LOL.. I want inteligence, handle and reasonable range from a dog that is early starting and comes to treeing naturaly. I prefer a bawl on track without being excesively mouthy and want the track to be moved at a decent speed. I like a nice change over from track to tree and a locate would be icing on the cake.

If you can help me out - please either post here or email me a number and I'll be gald to call if you prefer that to typing.

Eddie
