Author: A Foundation Teacher
Subject: students' website

Great work in setting up your own site. But the time you spent doing that could have been spent replying to sue gollagher's messages and encouraging other students to do the same. Why do you need yor 'own website' where students can say what they want? That was the whole idea of sue's web-chat. English forum is the place where teachers and students can talk together. Believe it or not, that's what a web-chat is!!
How can you possibly have a meaningful and constructive conversation with others on the foundation courses, if you set up your very own web-site, for students only?! what on earth can be the point in that?! Just another perfect example of foundation students passing by a good opportunity to actually do something useful, and deciding to spend the time doing something completely counter-productive instead. How typical!
Sue's brillaint idea to try to help everyone concerned has been thrown in the bin! Why did she bother wasting her time? IT students with problems about IT-- go to your IT tutors and sort it out!! Aren't you forgetting that there are about 60 Business students as well as Art students out there as well?
To my knowledge there have only been four diffrent people who have so far replied to sue's original message and the responses. Four students, from a possible 80!! Doesn't this say it all?!
I will have nothing further to do with any further messages, until someone starts to take the whole issue seriously and actually use the web-chat idea for what it was intended-- an evaluation open to everyone.
76 Foundation students, WHERE ARE YOU? Too busy playing on X_Box??
Respond to the messages on englishforum.com, and be helpful and sensible. Or have a good moan on this web-site instead and emphasise your immaturity. The choice is yours.
( If you can't cope with the vocabulary in this message, get your dictionaries out! And if you, Aisha and AHmed can understand everthing, well done. But remember you speak for yourselves, not for the other 78 students. 78 students who do not have the courtesy to reply to sue,in the proper place, which she set up to be YOUR place to talk, not ours!)
How sad that you choose not to accept the chance she gave you! How very sad that is.
