THIS refers to Nestor U. Torre's column, "Effects of excessive sexual content in TV shows." (Sept. 23, 2004)

It's very heartening to know that there is a member of the media profession who take time to reflect on the negative effects of too much sex scenes and talk in media. TV has indeed a major influence on our daily lives, especially on the youth. That's why there is a need for TV stations to be responsible in their shows. We all should aim for the well-being of our young, and this cannot be achieved if TV media do not help parents with the moral content of shows.


Kudos to Torre and may his tribe increase, for the good of society.
