Faye Wong

CHINESE singer and actress Faye Wong isn't new to the awards limelight. She won the Best Actress trophy at the Stockholm Film Festival in 1994 for her performance in "Chungking Express," and was similarly cited in 2002 by the Hong Kong Film Critics Society for "Chinese Odyssey." She could be honored once more for her portrayal in her new film, "2046," which is being distributed worldwide by Warner Bros.

Some people know Faye better as a singer. She launched her singing career in the early '90s, and won immediate acclaim. Her hit singles and albums have won her the title "The Asian Diva."
