Well, I'm up for another job so let's hope it's a keeper. Everyone keeps telling me that they're desperately short of English teachers ... (See, that was an ellipsis - I do know my stuff!).

I iz verra skeared to talk on English, as it shore enuff is not my firstest linguinage, so you will get that job.

I am aware that people who have communicated only in text and computers are being required to take English, even the level of courteous business use English. I know it is a stretch, but the seminar for on line use might be something you (or pals you may know to help) could produce and sell?

I wouldn't be afraid of approaching the private charter and remedial course schools here in America. There are those who teach English for foreign students with special attention to idiomatic speech.

I don't think such a thing would be impossible to launch even from home, literally with a web cam or "power point" and, of course, a decent protection from copying your original lesson plans, and maybe a decent attorney. I do hope you don't "go wash dishes" as that first salary can follow you like Marley's chains on your entire career. It's unfair that the pure reality of needing to eat is given such prejudice.

I do think Salty has a clear eye and good head in knowing what "the life" is like and understanding why you need to pursue doing this work. If all else fails, get yourself (far flung) abroad--I am amazed at how English covers so much of the world and the great hunger for "having it." I was one!

Be well!
