Subject: Happy Holidays to all

To all my fellow boardies a joyous holiday season. I will be taking an extended trip to visit my father and uncle for a few weeks and I may or may not have time to post. I almost certainly will not be doing another MNA until next year. Sorry about that but I think my last one was a pretty good note to end the year on.

Ironically, it has been a long time since I really did anything directly related to Angel or Buffy. I gave up on the comic long ago and I haven't watched a rerun in a long time. I am grateful to the two series for a lot of fun in the past and for allowing me to connect with such great
people but the way the shows ended and the way the characters ended up in the comics pretty much left me wanting to forget them. To me, the series ended on its best note with graduation day. The show SHOULD have been about successfully fighting evil and overcoming demons inner and outer. That was the message of both shows for 3 years. I'm not sure why it changed to a message of you can't win no matter what you do but fight anyway. Too many creative people have given up their optimism in the face of the real world. Maybe I have grown more optimistic
because I was so very pessimistic throughout my youth. Yet here I am today happy and enjoying life.

Always remember Omnia Mutantir Nihil Interit and if that doesn't work for you then Illegitimus Non Carborundum. And that doesn't do it try this:

You must not lose faith in humanity. Humanity is an ocean; if a few drops of the ocean are dirty, the ocean does not become dirty. Gandhi.

Thank you for all you do, Lewis, for us and "nothing to see here--move along" on B/A/S et al is understandable. Agreed, that the "negative" seems to be "the story," and I have to say Buffy isn't even in her own book, which leaves the "story" of season 9 in all the satellite books, e.g.Angel and Faith is actually "doing something," Willow's book even has some 'self-control' learning, but "selling the vagina" solves all her problems, and we can argue "character" seems to skid and live under the bus in turns. (We are doing the Egyptian Book of the Dead and the "9 souls"--which is wrong, as two of them are "body"--but I digress).

The decision is to let "Buffy grow up"--the premise of her series--or to make her an avatar and keep her eternally perpetually "status quo." I vote grow up/Angel shanshu and any "revisit" can be through "parental" visits to hellmouth lands with their kids. Spike and Faith are the shadow side; neither will have children (mythically) and that simply means they will eternally, perpetually be waiting to go around the "merry bush" again.

I do think the death of the board is imminent; I feel sad that I never got to enjoy your possible coming soon site on FLA--I have learned to appreciate the world where you live so much! (What do you think of Fringe's idea on the "observers" as "evolved" lizards? hee hee!

I actually am never sad that I got to meet so many of you and meet your passions in all their forms shared here. I am grateful to you in helping me deal with loss and become more assured over these years with my fellow Americans

My biggest problem is the capture that simply doesn't load the code to retype for posting. I loved my beautiful MNA PICTURE STORY BOOK, especially for the season below (again) and have so many I actually saved for my fun.

I will always check in, if anyone has a comment and I get can my replies through. (Maybe I suck the life out of your life veins, and you can just hope I will go away, but I am evil like that. That's what you get because you are smart and generous and the keys to torches and pitchforks are left to a random code generator. I shall prevail! VEG! advantage)!

I hope you all got to enjoy the RARE lunar eclipse Winter Solstice Wed 19th, while I hope to share some humble wish to you that every comfort of peace and joy, and all the promise of bright days to be yours!

Be well!

I'll be here to the end, my health issues allowing. I love everyone of you more than you know and have enjoyed this board as much as any other form of entertainment I have experienced. I'm looking forward to next year and to more chat on this board. Merry Christmas. Happy Hanukkah, Peaceful Kawanza, Happy Holidays and a wonderful, peaceful, prosperous New Year!
