Subject: Just enjoying the early spring in FL
In reply to: Caroline 's message, "What are we all up to?" on 11:29:15 02/25/13 Mon

My sister (who lives in a suburb of Boston) claims I am gloating which I don't really mean to do. I've never really wanted to live anywhere but Florida and I've been lucky enough to work (and now retire) exactly where I wanted.

Whatdoyawannado? Whadoyouwanndo? I don't know; whatdoyouwanndo?

Too busy, but not enough to not thank you for your MNA and the chance to greet you all who still stop by.

I think I already told you; doing the work for "museum season," dithering on moving back to NYC--waiting to be a grandpa with an unabashed grin that inspires people with butterfly nets and funny coats.

Looking at a heck of a lot of spring cleanup, but I know a blizzard would arrive the moment I did. Paaaatience. I honestly wish I could master this realm--maybe you teachers managing the wild beasts outside of the classroom, as well as the little mutants inside the classroom is a story for serious study. (Teaching martial arts has just been wildly fun, whenever I am asked about it, so it's not the same as "professional teacher").

I gather the best gardening/wine making is moving north from CA; I have a pal in Eugene, OR noting climate changes along those lines. I hope root rot and drought don't mess up the beauty your eyes will feed your heart!

Are any of you having fun with all the capabilities of digital in your life experiences? I still think a movie on the phone is "blasphemy" unless the thing was made to be seen at such scale.

How are the pets doing? I still remember quite a few names e.g. Nick and Nora.

Still wishing you would blog up Florida, Lewis. I still love the wee lizards you have shared and feel so sorry people dumped pythons to gobble up the local life. I am aware that sink holes are a problem, in places. Mostly, I hope the Disney parade would find out about those wonderful tours nearby into the wild world of the swamp so nearby. Not everything is utterly scary--I mean the clarity of water is a real sight in itself, from the pictures I saw.

I think the powers and players in Florida are "wilder and scarier" to untangle than the ecosystem, and I think your dispassionate approach would balance POVs in a way that is high comedy and high tragedy at once. I guess those pythons aren't considered as actually quite useful, e.g. the Pine Barrens in Jersey were with the mob. Hee hee.

Be well, all!
Your humble servant, always!
