And Stefan is Silas' doppelganger! And Silas locked Stefan in the safe and dropped him in the lake at the bottom of the gorge. Paul Wesley is going to have a ball playing evil.

Katherine had the cure forced down her throat by Elena. So can Klaus use her to make hybrids now?

Plus they are starting a spin off featuring Klaus in New Orleans called the Originals. Probably why they decided to end the Tyler sub-plot.
