Wednesday night's show guest starred academy ward and emmy winner Louis Gossett, Jr. There are wonderful actors on this show with Halle Berry. I see Steven Speilburg (sp?) is on board too.

Sci-Fi is intersting as to what might be in the future. I douby if they will be able to "beam up" someone, but could there be a robotic child like Ethan in Extant?
I think maybe so. With enough money and technology, a like-like robot is a possibility.

So my question is -- if you desperately wanted a child and there was one like Ethan in the offering, would you consider it?

If so, would these "children" have human rights?

How would a robot age each year? Would it be necessary?

I hoping to see more of this show --

They already make some pretty sophisticated androids/robots/AIs, so it's good to ponder questions.

The Ghost in the Shell anime series did an excellent job of looking at what's real or artificial and what the definitions are and the wonders and dangers of tech and all that.
