Subject: Flooding etc

The rain has ended for now But the western end of the province has been hit hard up to 6 inches of rain came down And with the ground frozen with frost the water had no where to go. Many roads have been washed and damage is in the millions of dollars

On the better side There was a news story yesterday regarding a woman who has a disability was scammed by a man who stated he would repair her roof which had a leak. He told her he would do it for free as long as she provided materials She purchased the materials The man started the work and would often ask for money for food or smokes. He did not complete the job and later found out that the man had taken the materials she bought. This ran in the newspaper as the storm began. Help soon arrived. She has 2 roof contractors offer to fix her roof for free. The immediate response was the arrival of people who bought a large blue tarp to completely cover her roof. Slowly the leaks stopped. She said she is so overwhelmed by offers for help. Wow is all I can say
