What a heart-warming story! That and other stories around here prove that there are some good people in the world.

I sympathize with the flooding - we had some severe rains earlier this year and all the major freeways I could take to work were closed due to flooding (some all the way up under the overpass!). My office was closed one day and opened late the next day (we hardly ever close). There was millions of dollars in damage to some of our buildings. Many people had flooded basements. One elderly woman drowned in her own basement! It was declared a disaster area and people are getting feceral assistance. I hope your people are able to get some help too...
