Very powerful, delle. Strong images and nice story structure. I like how you began each part with the italics. Very fitting. And I like how you changed POV for each part. Nicely done!

The cello reference in the last part made me shiver. Excellent image and I had no trouble believing Michael would say/think this since we've seen him play the cello.

Now, I think you need another title.....*wg*
