From the moment I stepped onto these boards I knew something special had happened. That incredible people were banding together over something as "silly" as a TV show. Of course it's just not "silly" to me anymore.. The characters in LFN have almost become a part of my extended family. (that is due in part to the incredible job RD, AW, ERG, et al have done -- as well as the brilliant fanfic writers that have brought even MORE life to these fictional characters.)
These boards have brought me cherished Loved ones. People I care about and will adore for the rest of my days. It's brought to light an ability that I never knew I had. It's given me a bit of laughter when I needed a bright spot in my day. It's given me a sobering wake up call when I needed one. These boards and the people on them have filled my life in more ways than I ever counted on.
Hearing the show was being cancelled last year was a sort of "Yeah, I saw that one coming" feeling. I chose not to believe it, because there were so many "maybe"s floating around. I knew it would be back in one form or another. But this year I knew it was for real.
I began thinking back to why I was drawn to these boards to begin with. I wanted to feel those warm fuzzies again. I wanted to join with all my friends and give this Incredible show the send off it deserved. To say thank you one last time to the actors, creators, crew, and most 'specially to the fans ...my friends who had come together to create this community.
