I have just got back on the net and have seen the stories relating to the new shirt for next season.

Firstly, the excuse of the away shirts outsold the blue shirts.
Well Mr Scally, maybe they did but did you ever consider the real reason behind that - me thinks that the continual changes to the home shirt and the costs involved in buying them were major reasons? After all, even allowing for your elaborate marketing skills, most supporters do not have the access to an endless pot of money and probably feel that if they have one of the home shirts from the last 3 years that is suffice.

Secondly, who on earth thought up the excuse regarding winter days and evening games?
Under floodlights, with a white ball - please Mr Scally do you really think that most supporters have just come from the funny farm - I suggest next time you decide to prance around the ground you try it out - me thinks you will need the vision of Superman or the 6 million dollar man to see that playing in white shirts is better. Just ask any Everton, Ipswich Town or Millwall fan.

Thirdly, the last time I remember we changed to a lot of white was when Gerry Summers was involved with that awful Sheffield Wednesday look a like strip - and see what good that did us!!

Finally, using excuses of strips changing over 100 years ago when we were New Brompton does not apply. You are looking to attract new customers to the game during these difficult times - do not drive them away with poorly concieved and thought marketing ploys - after all, and this is to be considered by all those that are considering purchasing the new shirt - what would stop the club from caving into the high level of expected and justified protest mid season and reverting back to a new blue shirt - ooopppps must pay twice in a season. Good cashflow for the club - but remember only if people/fans support it.

Sorry to rant and rave but this decision is poorly thought out and is one that I have some level of understanding for the reasons given.

Whats going to happen to all the chants -
"we are white we are white we are dynamite"
"Andy Hessantahlers white and white army"

THese are indeed strange times.
