Subject: Admiration for A Truly Great Competor Author: Scott Lee [ Next Thread | Previous Thread | Next Message | Previous Message ] Date Posted: 09:50:49 02/27/02 Wed I would just like to take a moment to express my sincere admiration for a true competor in auto sports. I was young lad when I used to watch Dick race in LaCrosse, Wisconsin against names like Gordy Clay, Marv Marzofka, and the ever famous #3 chicken coupe. The blue number 99 fairlane was always the favorite. And there isn't a fan out there that hasn't sit in the stands thinking oh no he's not going to shop up tonight, he must have had a problem or went somewhere else to race! Wait there comes the Ford hauler with Firing Wigwam Fairlane strapped down. The announcer would always let the crowd know that Dick would come out and run a few laps to check the car out before the race began! Dick provided so much excitement for our family, we still talk about those days with fond memory! I would just like to say THANK YOU from a real Trickle fan!
