It takes all kinds of characters at all different skill levels to make a guild function. As far as I;m concerned the healing/res is one of the largest parts of any of our hunts.
I would agree with you on the practicing alone, but when I do that personally, I'm good for about .1 magery skill gain in a 24 hour period. When hunting with the guild I can usually get .2 or .3 on a good night. As far as being a GM in magery, I am only at 95.7.
When on hunts I typically only use a few spells, Summon Fire Ele, Energy Bolt, Greater Heal, and Rez.
If you fail too many times casting a summon spell, I can hook you up with scrolls that will allow you to cast the spell. You should practice using scrolls anyway, they don't use regs when you fail. And success is greater, casue they work on a -2 spell circle. Meaning if you can cast a sixth level spell from your book, you have the same chance to cast a level 8 scroll.
