Ok. First smelting gives better and faster gains at high levels. It is true mining does gain very well when just mining, but I found that smelting worked nice. Below is a website that I refer to a lot. This link is direct to the Mining section. Basically smelt only the ore that you just were able to mine. So if you can mine verite....smelt that...1 at a time. I would go mine tons of verite.....get a few gains that way, then go smelt it all. I boat mined in Fel north east of Minoc. Just watch out for pirates. ALWAYS WEAR ARMOR IN DANGEROUS TRAM AND FEL AREAS. This includes PK'ers and monster spawns. A few greater explode and heal potions are good to keep on hand too.
