macing is very nice. What's strange is that most macing weapons are two handed so pretty much all macers use shields. War Hammer, black staff and quarter staff are the only three real two handed macing weapons. Gnarled staves and shepard's crooks are also two handed but I doubt you would care to use those very much. The war axe is one of my personal favorites as it deals decent damage and has bleed and armor ignore. I also like the quarterstaff as it is very fast and can do a good amount of damage fairly quickly. Macing weapons are also the most found weapons from monster loot and so you shall be able to keep a goodly supply of maces. Many maces have crushing blow and that does hellacious damage, coupled with a chance of having a magical attack weapon like fireball or lightning your opponents will fall fairly fast.
