Subject: Semmi Matias MAKELA 1899-1968

Looking for information on Semmi Matias MAKELA aka Matti or Matt. He was born March 24, 1899 Teuva, Finland; died July 13, 1968 Canada.

As family lore goes, he was a lumberjack near Thunder Bay.

His parents were Mathias BARCK & Kaisa Sofia MAKELBORI.

Kaarlo Oscari MAKELA aka Oscar NORI b September 30, 1884
Sigrid MAKELA b August 16, 1882
Hilda Maria MAKELA b May 17, 1889
Alfred MAKELA b January 23, 1887
Hugo Matias MAKELA b June 04, 1891
Yrjö Jafet MAKELA b December 25, 1892
Wiljami MAKELA b January 09, 1896

Several of his siblings immigrated to the United States between 1907 & 1909.
