In Nurmijarvi I started with a first gen pace digibox and 1.1m dish. It picked up north beam 2A/B ok but south beam was unreliable. Then I upgraded the dish to a 1.8m from www.pyry.com, they had a second hand one for about 300euro !

That gets south beam 2A/B with no trouble at all in any weather.I get nothing from 2D even with 1.8m. When BBC moved to 2D I cancelled the sky subscription and changed to an Echostar 3600, still no 2D but all the other free channels and Hot Bird etc picked up ok.

Even with 1.8m dish the south beam on 2A/B is weak and if I motorised the dish then the accuracy of the motor was not good enough to move the dish and get it exactly back at 2A every time.
