If we want things our way, we must press them with facts like that.There are at least three points:
1. the copyright problems with BBC radio don't exist,
2. there are technical possibilities and facilities to swap between BBCi on Astra 2B and BBC Radios on Astra 2D without any extra cost for the licence payers and
3. sure there is a better way of spending licence payers' money than covering the area with analogue, DAB and renting a satellite transponder to do the same, so the money saving argument goes out of the window as well.
I wonder how many people in the UK are using digital satellite for listening to BBC Radios right now?If the BBC were using Astra 2D transponder just for feeding terrestrial transmitters (like the infamous NTL transponders on Eutelsat W2), it would be another story.
