Sometime ago the BBC sent me a reply explaining that they let Belgian cable companies distribute their signal on the grounds that it could be picked up in Belgium in any case. The Belgian companies paid the BBC a fee for their programmes. I wonder if the BBC will apply the same logic in this case.
