Its quite normal that the signal will have huge unpredictable variation outside the footprint specified by Astra. The reason why thay dont specify the EIRP outside the official footprint is simply because it cant be determinated with high accuracy. I will also assume that the crosspol isolation radiated from Astra 2D is reduced a lot outside the official footprint.

In Norway( Oslo) the vertical transponders seems to be weakest all the time but also the horisontal transponders fades around midnight for several hours( 1.2m antenna). The only thing that work is a big antenna that make sure there is enugh signal 24H.
