Yes you can use a Sky+ Digibox outside the UK.You will need a satellite dish with a twin universal lnb with two cables running down from the dish to the Sky+ Digibox.A Sky+ Digibox will not record,playback store etc any channels until the "record" facility is activated on the Sky Digital viewing card inserted in the Sky+ digibox.You will not be able to access any of the online services such as box office unless the Sky+ Digibox is connected to a UK telephone line. Other than that it will work fine on the continent

With regard to the LNB, the twin version of the MTI seems to be a good option as it was stated today on this forum.
