Andrew antennas is mainly used in expensive professional systems. Perhaps the cost is the reason why its not widely available from satellite stores... No one buys a £5000 high quality 2.4m anyway..

Its all in Swedish but the pictures tells it all. 4.5m andrew antenna did only cost the price of the metalweight which I guess is £100 or less. This is the kind of equipment a real satellite enthusiasts got ;-)

Have a look at the pics. The fundament was not good enough so he has to do it all over again...
