Basically - to get all the BBC channels (lucky you, living in France!) - you have to be able to point your satellite dish at the Astra 2D satellite (or have it pointing there all the time if you haven't got a motorized dish). If that isn't the case yet then you'll need the help of a good local satellite dealer, who may need to provide you with a better converter for your dish. You can't do this yourself! After that you'll need to "tell" your satellite tuner -- using the instructions and the remote control (or, better still, getting the dealer's man to do it for you so that you can check to see if he's done a good job aligning the dish!) -- to find all the channels on Astra 2D. All the BBC TV and radio stations are in the clear (i.e. not coded) on Astra 2D. Don't forget that Radio 4's on Astra 2B, which is exactly where Astra 2D is.
