Answer to Just Say Not To Liz�s Fic Challenge. See end for details.

Pine Valley, Pennsylvania

Dishes clattered to the floor as Robin watches the 12 o'clock news; there on the screen was a picture of Carly Rob..Bens..Quar..Corin..whatever her last name was this week. She hadn�t seen that face since the last Nurses Ball she had attended and found out Carly was with Sonny. That had hurt worst than losing Jason; Sonny was her bother, closer to her then even her Uncle Mac. She never had to put a show on for him, never had to optimistic about how she felt; she could go to him and bare her heart and soul, no matter how dark and morbid they may be. He let her express her thoughts without telling her everything was going to be okay and was going to work out; because in the real world the only happy endings you get are the ones you make for yourself, they both had learned that the hard way. Breaking out of her past she focuses on the TV.

Broadcaster: We now go live out side the courthouse to field anchor Mark Sloan.

Mark: Thanks Abby, if you are just turning in, here is the update in the trail of Carly Benson Corinthos. Mrs. Corinthos was on trail for the attempted murder of her ex-husband and son�s father Alan James Quartermaine; the eldest son of Drs. Alan & Monica Quartermaine at the Port-Charles Grill. Witnesses testified earlier in the trail saying while having dinner with her new husband alleged Mafia Prince Michael �Sonny� Corinthos Jr. she went after Mr. Quartermaine with a fork and steak knife screaming �I�ll kill you; they�re after me, you sent them, you sent the Clowns, I�ll kill you;� she was quickly restrained by Police Commissioner Malcolm Scorpio and Detective Marcus Taggart and taken into custody.

She was then quickly taken to Fercliff Medical Hospital for a full mental exam. Because of the intended target and the seriousness of the crime the trail started two weeks later, and in a move that defied logic Mrs. Corinthos was represented by a public appointed attorney, instead of her husband's lawyer Ms. Alexis Davis. When asked about this move Ms. Davis said "As the head counsel for both ELQ and Mr. Corinthos there is a matter of conflict" she decline further comment. During the two-week trail Mr. Corinthos and Ms. Davis where not present in the courtroom to show support and some insider reports state that Mr. Corinthos is seeking an annulment. We now take you into the courtroom two-days after closing arguments to hear the jury's verdict.

Courtroom

The courtroom is a madhouse; sitting behind Dara is the whole Quartermaine clan including Lila & Reginald, Mac, Felicia, Jax, Chloe, Tammy, Mike, Kevin, Lucy, and pretty much the whole town were seated behind them. In the back row sitting side by side wearing matching grins of satisfaction are Luke and Tony. Carly's side holds only Bobbie and members of the press; the only reason Bobbie was there is because the other side was out of seats and she lost the coin toss with Luke.

Bailiff: Please rise for Judge Joseph Black.

Judge: Be seated, has the Jury reached it's verdict?

Head Jury Person: Yes your honor we have.

Judge: What says you?

Head Jury Person: We the jury in the case of: The Commonwealth of The State of New York and Alan James Quartermaine vs. Carly Benson Corinthos find the defendant guilty for 1st Degree attempted murder.

Judge: We'll adjourn for 30 minutes and then the sentencing well begin.

The courtroom is up in arms, people cheering, high-fives were seen and heard and hugs given to the person sitting next to you. All the while Carly is sitting at her table starting at the floor mumbling.

30 Minutes Later

Bailiff: Please rise.

Judge: Be Seated. Mrs. Corinthos please stand (Carly stands) Taking into account you're past crimes, Kevin Collins assessments of your mental health and your previous stay in Fercliff, I sentence you to life imprisonment in Port-Charles Asylum for the Criminally Insane with no chance of parole. After talking with Mr. Corinthos, custody of Michael Morgan Quartermaine is given to the biological father Alan James Quartermaine. Court Dismissed.

Pine Valley, Pennsylvania

Robin is still staring at the TV in shock and disbelief; tying to sort her through her thoughts and doesn't notice the door opening.

Man: Honey I'm home, (looks at Robin) hey Robin are you okay?

Robin: (turns to see her husband pushing their 4-month old twins into the living room. At 6'-2" his muscular body and chiseled face send her heart into a fury, but it's cobalt blue eyes that always warms her heart. The twins were sleeping peacefully in the stroller. Lila Devane Morgan was a spitting image of her mother except for the blonde hair and her father's eyes; while Jason Mackenzie Morgan Jr. has his father's features and eyes with Robin's chestnut brown hair.) Yeah, Jason everything is fine; just got a blast from the past.

Jason: Well, help me get Lila & Mac into bed and then you can tell me.

Robin: (smiling) Sure, let's go.

A few minutes later Jason and Robin return to the living room, Jason sitting in an over-stuffed chair with Robin on his lap. They snuggle for a couple minutes in silence, settling into a comfortable position.

Jason: So, "a blast from the past" must have been some blast if you drop some dishware on the floor.

Robin: (blushing slightly) Well, yeah it's not every day I turn to the TV and see Carly.

Jason: (surprised) Carly, on TV here, whoa she must love that kind of coverage. (Thinking) I wonder if that why Sonny called me this morning.

Robin: (shocked) Wait, Sonny called you, what'd he say.

Jason: Later, tell me why Carly was on TV.

Robin: Well, she flip her lid at the PC Grill and try to kill AJ (Jason eyebrow raises) I know you think she'd tried to kill enough people already, but no. Because of the Quartermaines the trail was quicken up and ended today; they found her guilty and sentenced her to life imprisonment at the Asylum for the Criminally Insane, Sonny gave AJ full custody of Michael. Now what did Sonny say?

Jason: Man, I'm glad AJ finally got custody of Michael; he deserved it. And finally Carly got what she deserved, life imprisonment, couldn't have happen to a nicer person.

Robin: Focus Jason, Sonny what did he want?

Jason: (mocks glaring) He asked if he could come here tonight and talk to you, he said it was important, so I said OK.

Robin: Why would he want to talk to me?

Port-Charles Asylum for the Criminally Insane

Attendant: Right this way Mr. Corinthos

Sonny: (steps into the cell, taking stock of the room he sees a bed in the corner with a sink across from it. Sweeping his eyes to the of side of the room he finds Carly in a corner mumbling wearing a straight jacket; he walks over and kneels down.) Aw, what's the matter Carly, they didn't have this season's designer jacket for you. (Carly looks up) Don't worry the drugs I gave you will wear off, but by the time they do your appeal will be over and you'll be stuck here for the rest of your life. I gave AJ full custody of Michael so if by some bizarre twist of fate you do get out of here you will never be able to use your son as a bargaining chip. (lowers voice) I know your wondering why I did this, but you not to smart so I'll tell you; I never really cared want you did with your life or how you messed with everyone else's lives except you did it to the wrong person: my little sister. You took away her home, her way of life and her man, well for a little while anyway, and you thought you won, so I continued to let you "win" then when you were at your highest and thought no one was left, I stole the bottom away from your house of cards. Now while you wallow here in your self-delusion fears I'm gonna go to Robin and Jason happy home and tell them you lost. (gets up and starts to walk away, but Carly's mumbling draws him closer)

Carly: (babbling over and over) Can't sleep clowns will eat me, can't sleep clowns will eat me, can't sleep clowns will eat me can't sleep clowns will eat me :)

Sonny: (chuckling) Poor Clowns (walks out of the room and over to Alexis) Thank you so much with the drugs, (smiling) how ever can I repay you?

Alexis: (grinning, leaning towards his ear) I'll show you later tonight (kisses him deeply) Let go.

Six o'clock
Pine Valley, Pennsylvania

Jason and Robin are getting the twins cleaned up from dinner when there's a knock at the door.

Jason: Are you ready for this, I can tell him to come back?

Robin: No, I'm good.

Jason: (walks over to the door and is a little shocked to see not only Sonny but Alexis there) Come on in. (takes their coats and leads them to the dining room) Robin's in here.

Sonny: (walks over to robin and before she can move hugs her tightly) I'm sorry, so sorry, I'll understand if you never want to see me again but god sweetheart I love you so much. I didn't love Carly at all please just let me explain.

Robin: (dazed for the hug and Sonny's fast talking) Hey you know me; I'll always listen. (Sonny proceeds to tell her the whole story, how Alexis got the drugs, how he spiked Carly's drinks at night, that the drugs will wear-off and there are no side-effects except for prison. He tells her about his meeting with Carly early that day and even about the clowns, when he's finished he looks at her hoping he didn't ruining their relationship.) All that just for me, Sonny you broke the law just for some petty revenge.

Sonny: (flashing his dimples) Hey now, I didn't commit a crime. I just failed to comply with the law (everyone laughs) So do you forgive me?

Robin: (pretends to ponder) Of course, (leans in, whispering) Love you to big brother (cries for the backroom interrupts them) Sonny, Alexis there two people I want you to meet.

Robin: (Everyone walks into the nursery, Robin goes to pick up Lila and Jason Picks up Mac, they quiet down immediately. Robin hands Sonny Lila and Jason does the same with Alexis) Now Sonny you have Lila Devane Morgan and Alexis you have Jason Mackenzie Morgan Jr.

Alexis: (surprised that they allowed her to hold one of their children without knowing her to well, catching Robin's eye and sees that she know about Sonny and hers relationship. Awed that because Sonny trust her so does Robin; by that simple allowance of trust, she speaks quietly) They're incredible, you guys did a wonderful job.

Sonny: (emotionally) My God they're beautiful, I'm so proud of you two. So proud.

Jason: (everyone just stands there in the silence, marveling in the incredible sentiment within the nursery walls until Jason curiosity gets the better of him) Why Clowns?

Robin: (deadpan) Hey, that's what clowns are made for. :)

THE END

Side Note: The title has two meanings, if you�re a Carly Fan it could be Evil Clown or if you�re an anti-Carly fan (me) Evil Carly

The Basic Challenge:

Write a fanfic with the following:

1. Someone saying "cigarettes are bad, they can kill you and when you die you lose a very important part of your life."

2. Someone saying "we should not live forever, because we are not meant to live forever that is why I would not live forever."

3. Quote "when I see all those starving kids on tv it makes me sad, because I would love to be that skinny just without all the flies and death and stuff."

4. Carly in a corner mumbling, "can't sleep clowns will eat me" over and over again.

5. Quote "I didn't commit a crime. I just failed to comply with the law."

6. I want the story to begin with the line "Dishes clattered to the floor." And end it with Robin saying "Hey, that's what clowns are made for."
