Subject: Don't Think of Me

This is a song by the wonderful singer Dido.

Premise: Carly is out of the loony bin but Jason gave up rights to Mikey and has chosen a life with Robin. He's out of the mob and they are living together preparing for their wedding and awaiting the birth of their child.

Jason Morgan walked into the house carrying the day's mail. He was leafing through it, wondering who it was from. He set it down, however, when his fiancee, Robin walked in. He took a moment to stop and stare at her before engulfing her in his arms. She wasn't the least bit surprised by this as she was used to it by now. Not that she didn't still get a rush at the fact that his first instinct was to hold her. Without a word Jason picked her up and carried her to the stairs.

Robin(smiling): "Isn't this how I got pregnant in the first place?"

Jason(kissing her): "What? Me coming home, or taking you upstairs?"

Robin(laughing): "Coming home. Cuz as I remember, you took me on the couch."

Jason(pauses): "I could always recreate the moment."

Robin: "Upstairs."

There was no mistaking the want in her eyes and it really didn't take much for Jason to comply.

Later as Robin slept, Jason went downstairs to gather the previously forgotten mail. He took it back to their room, unwilling to be away from Robin for too long. After reading a letter from Emily and tossing the bills on to the desk, he came to a package. There was no return address or name on it. Jason opened carefully, his instincts on full alert. When he opened it, out fell a cassette tape. He popped it into the stereo. Out came the strains of Dido.

So you're with her
and not with me
I hope she's sweet
and so pretty
I hear she cooks delightfully
a little angel beside you
So you're with her
and not with me
Oh how lucky one man can be
I hear your house
is small and clean
Oh how lovely with your homecoming queen
Oh how lovely it must be

When you see her sweet smile baby
Don't think of me
When she lays in your warm arms
Don't think of me

Jason heard Robin shift on the bed and turned to watch her. Every time he saw her, there was an ache that could only be tempered when he held her close. Staving off the temptation, he tuned back into the song.

So you're with her
and not with me
I know she spreads sweet honey
In fact your best friend
I heard he spent last night with her
Now how do you feel

When you see her sweet smile baby
Don't think of me
When she lays in your warm arms
Don't think of me

Jason well remembered the night their baby had been conceived and for some reason this song was making him think back on it.

*Flashback*

He'd come in from the bikeshop and saw her sitting on the couch poring over a magazine and before his brain could even comprehend it, his arms were around her and his mouth was searching for the soft skin of her throat. She tilted her head back and moaned softly bringing his mouth to hers. Jason pushed her gently back on to the couch and there made sweet, passionate love to her.

Three months later they celebrated the news of their child in much the same manner.

*End flashback*

Jason again turns to look at Robin and smiles as he remembers the way she laughed as he tickled her on their way to bed. And later as he spread the chocolate frosting on her, the laughter fading to moans as he licked it off. he felt his desire stirring again. Just as he rose to be with her again, the next lines of the song reached his subconscious

And it's too late and it's too bad
Don't think of me
Oh it's too late and it's too bad
Don't think of me

Does it bother you now all the mess I made
Does it bother you now the clothes you told me not to wear
Does it bother you now all the angry games we played
Does it bother you now when I'm not there

Jason shook his head and continued over to her. He lay down beside her and took in his arms kissing her shoulder gently. He'd missed her the when she'd been in Paris and he wasn't about to make the same mistake of letting her go twice. Robin sighed happily in her sleep and Jason kissed her shoulder again. But he didn't stop there, he continued a path down her back and only pulled away when he felt her turning in his arms. He looked down at the woman who made his life complete and moaned as she pulled him down for a long slow kiss.

When you see her sweet smile baby
Don't think of me
When she lays in your warm arms
Don't think of me

And it's too late and it's too bad
Don't think of me
Oh it's too late and it's too bad
Don't think of me

As the song faded and Jason proceeded to make love to Robin again he thought, "Don't worry Carly, I won't."
