Subject: CH 15 REUNION OF OLD FRIENDS

EVeryone in the waiting room turned to face Eve Lambert as she walked into the room. She came u p to Ned and the other Quartermaines.

Eve: The surgery on Lois has been completed. She is resting in her room.

Ned: How is she?

Eve: She was shot once in the chest. The bullet was to close to the heart to safly remove. BUt that should pose no problem.

Other been close to the heart the wound wasn't that serious and she should be released very soon. But she is goging to need some rest afterwards.

I would recomend that she remain in Port Charles for a few months of recovery.

Ned: Of course. Can I see her?

Eve: Give it 6 hours.

Eve turns to Mac and Felicia. They notice the look on her face.

Mac: How bad is ti?

Eve:The good news is that she is alive.

Mac:And the bad news?

Eve: When Robin was brought in to the Er she had the same kind of chest wound. But Robin also was shot in the head.

Felicia:NO!

Eve: The wound was in the right side fo the head. But the bullet did not enter her brain. The bullet grazed the skull.

Mac:That's good news isnt it?

Eve:Yes. But the there is damage. It looks like the bullet might of caused pressure to buld up in her brain.

Mac:How serious is it?

Eve:Very. RObin eeds to have surgery on to relive the pressure. It has to be done at the same time as we operate on her chest wound.

Felicia:You haven't operaed on Robin?

Eve:No. We have stailzed her by putting a chest tube in. She is in a coma and can remain like this for 6 hours. We need your permission to perfome both operations.

Its risky but ithout it Robin will die within 6 hours.

mac: Do it.

Eve: All right. Tony Jones will call in another doctor to perfome this surgery.

Eve leaves and informs Tony who dials the number fo another doctor. Dr. Alex Devane Merick answers.
