Subject: I want boredom

It sure would be nice once in a while to have some uneventful days but I guess that is impossible with Jacob. Robert woke me up at about 4:00 a.m. when he usually gets up to start Jacob's feeding pummp for the day. Well he wanted me to check Jacob's g-j tube as he thought that it might have gotten pulled out. Well sure enough instead of there being the usual 4" exposed we now had about 19" hanging out. So I made a call to the after hrs. angio-intervention lab at Children's hospital and they arranged to have us bring him in for 10:00 a.m. to have a new one put in. The strange thing is that while the tube was out he kept having seizures and every time he coughed the contents of his intestines would leak out through the stoma Yech what a mess. (He has very loose stools right now because of the antibiotics.) As soon as the new g-j tube was put in the seizures stopped and we could finally start feeding him and giving him his meds. What a day!
