Well, I've already found that Ethan's mood is better now that the EA's are back. As many of you know, he was able to continue to attend school, but he was grumpy each night when he got home. I think just the difference in routine at school. So he somehow managed to break the air value off the back of his aircast this past weekend. It won't hold any air in the one side, so therefore there isn't any pressure on his ankle there. I called the doctor's office and asked what we should do, the receptionist was going to inquire and get back to me but that hasn't happened yet. And at $120 a cast (our cost due to no other coverage other than basic OHIP) I really don't want to have to purchase another one for 3 weeks of wear.

My comment on the messy room thing. Ethan is great at keeping his room clean. I do have to remind him about his toys in the living and kitchen areas of our home. Mostly I just pick it up at the end of the day. I should insist that he does it, but sometimes doing it myself is just easier. Now the older kid, Aaron, who is 16...that is a completely different story. I figure it is part of being a teenager, and if I can keep the mess contained to only his room then I can live with that. I just close the door. His mess is not a reflection of myself (or so I hope) and every once in a while he will spend a whole day cleaning and throwing out junk. So kids will be kids at whatever age.
