Date Posted: 05:46:33 03/12/14 Wed When Upper Manhattan and the Bronx regions of New York saw an unseasonal good spell of weather, vast numbers of dirt-bikes – illegal on the streets of NY – took to the roads. Just one problem – someone at the NYPD knows how to read a weather forecast and had geared up the police force to be on the lookout! A number of bikers – and drivers of multi-terrain vehicles also banned – were arrested on charges that included reckless endangerment, reckless driving and resisting arrest. Mayor Bill de Blasso spoke about the crackdown “Everyone has to follow the law in this town. If, with the dirt bikes or the motorcycles or anything, people are breaking the law and harassing their neighbors, the NYPD will step in and we will do it aggressively, because that’s how you keep order.” [ Next Thread | Previous Thread | Next Message | Previous Message ] |
