The company wanted US$250,000 to get the project running, but after just 45 hours they had 1.1 million from 24 countries. The AR-1 uses a series of sensors, microprocessors and a camera to deliver the head-up display with turn-by-turn GPS navigation, which appears to be about 10 feet in front of the rider and varies the focal distance to ensure the information is clear no matter where the rider looks.
