Date Posted: 04:57:21 09/02/14 Tue Paul Duffy sold his bike to James Bryson - an uninsured rider with a 4-year ban. Like many riders, Mr Duffy did not cancel his insurance. Bryson had a fatal crash 7 days later. Because Duffy’s policy was still active, insurer MCE Insurance say this means they are liable for costs running to thousands of Pounds, which they could claim back in court from Mr Duffy. Mr Duffy is now warning all drivers to immediately cancel their insurance policies on any vehicles that they sell. It should be noted MCE has not decided whether to take action against Mr Duffy.
