Royal Enfield has hired Pierre Terblanche, best known for his work with Ducati. His first project is beleived to be Enfield's 400cc offroad bike, but there has been no confirmation.

Enfield has also purchased a 50 acre site in Chennai, to increase their manufacturing capacity.

Royal Enfield has a stated aim to become the "leaders of the global mid-sized sector". These developments would appear to support that aim.
