Date Posted: 05:06:09 12/04/14 Thu A petition has been raised on the Government ‘e-petitions’ website, calling for police to take motorcycle theft more seriously. The petition states: “Motorcycle theft is becoming a more common occurrence daily. It is common knowledge there a numerous gangs stealing vehicles and selling them on, or shipping them abroad, and too often now victims of this crime have had very little assistance from the police. ” The petition needs to attract 100,000 signatures or more to make it eligible for debate in the House of Commons.
