The fox turned her head to smirk at the otter, raising an eyebrow. "A welcoming party? For me? Now, really, River Tail... I'd've thought you knew how to lie better than that."

Walking towards him, she deftly caught the dirk and examined it, taking an expiramental slash. Good balance... not quite as good as one of her daggers, but that was merely personal preference. Xan nodded appreciatively; the weapon River Tail had found was quite obviously well-made.

"I honestly wouldn't know if Key was missing a weapon," she said, pulling a chair over and sitting backwards on it, arms folded over the back. The fox slipped her pack off her shoulder and let it drop to the ground as she held the ornamented dirk out to the otter, hilt first. "I havn't seen her recently enough, truth be told."

Smiling slightly, the fox glanced around the room, taking in the sight of a few of the regulars, as well as a small ferret babe that she'd not yet met, before turning to look back at River Tail. "So... anything worthy of note happen while I was gone, or was the Fort just being the same ol' fort it always is?"
