Oh, RT, you /really/ don't want to say that around me... Gods, but I can write a twenty page paper on different high fantasy settings, the pros and cons of each, why I like/dislike each, and comparing them to each other and to actual mythology that they're based on; and /another/ thirty pages on just elves as compared to each other and mythology; and then there are the gods; and the religious practices; and the geography.

Well, if that can all count as intellectual. Because if not... I've actually had numerous philosophical debates--and I am so serious it isn't funny--with teachers, classmates, and friends that have lasted about forty-five minutes(at the least) to an hour or more.

But... methinks I'll just chalk that up to obsession and not having a life, rather than intellect.

        I deserve it, though. I have two basic reactions to new people: A- make jokes and get a feel for their personalities that way, or B-give them a hard time and act like a cynical, sardonic, obnoxious, etc. whatever and get a feel for them /that/ way.
