Hi Kei and Bliss !!!

Thank you both for the quick response ! How are you both ? I hope you are doing well. Nice to meet you Kei !!! Thank you so much for joining and translating the Lily Li portion in cantonese correctly for me. Bliss, thank you also . I think it's wonderful to be able to talk to other John's fans !!!

OOOOOhhhhhhh...now that you both mentioned it..."ginger" in cantonese is the same sounding as "Keung", I never even thought about it...it does sound funny , now that you think of it. Thank you both.

It was so funny when I went to the Forum Board (In Chinese)and had it translated...boy, the words were jumboed around a bit, but I didn't mind, for I was just so glad to be able to learn more about John.

Kei, how did you become a John's fan ? Was it due to ATV/TVB series ? or movies ? Where are you from ?

Bliss and Kei, I want to thank you both so very much for all your time in information, anything regarding John...the information is so "very precious" to me, for there is not much detailed information in English. And my Father gets mad when I ask him to translate a portion of an article on John for me, he keeps telling me why didn't I continue further in Chinese School.

Take care, and I hope to talk to you both, and others, soon. Again...many thanks, Christine

>"ginger"-What a funny translation!
>Christine, do you know how to pronounce John's surname
>in Cantonese?
>His surname "Chiang" pronounce as "Keung" in Cantonese
>and "ginger" also pronounce as "Keung" in Cantonese.
>So, you understand the silly translation now?
>His different names may be owing to different way of
>translation. Some people may translate his name
>according to the pronunciation in Cantonese, other may
>use the pronunciation of Mandarin.
>For the interview with Lily Li in "The Heroic Ones"
>DVD, I think you've missed a part of the conversation.
>She actually says "He (John) is very cool at first. He
>just sit there without a word with me for 4 to 5
>hours." But as they came to know each other more
>during the making of the movie (they played lovers in
>the movie), John became "a lot of fun, he likes to
>play around". So, basically, John's a shy man.
