Es obvio que la respuesta era incorrecto. La prejunta no era, cuál es la diferencia entre las mujeres y los hombres?
Con una respuesta tan coqueta y comica me da sorpresa que las mujeres jueces hubieran seleccionado a Venezuela.
Dayana, hizo un gran trabajo en los finales dejo de hacer movimientos exagerados con su cabeza.
Tambien le vajo al tono con las caras divertidas y se miro muy tranquila y confidente.
El vestido no la hizo ganar porque era un corte basico y lo unico que tenia de moderno era el color de primavera.
NO! no pienso que Dayana contesto con logica y coherente, Si pienso que contesto rapido, pero no contesto la respuesta correcta a la pregunta que le formularon.
Final, Dayana se puso alerta, miro la competencia se paro y dijo aqui estoy yo!
En la competencia de traje de ballo Dayana se miro transparente, simpatica y fresca.

Respuesta: Yo pienso que las mujeres pueden sentirse satisfechas cuando ella tiene un equilibrio en su vida. Cuando ella tiene un hombre, alma y todas las sensaciones en el mismo nivel. es importante tener equilibrio entre la familia entre su trabajo y entre la comunidad.
Pienso que la respuesta estaba correcta, y tambien note que la conductora Melanie Brown movio su cabeza con aprobación de la respuesta.
El unico error en la respuesta, soul en Ingles quiere decir alma en espanol. El Alma es el cuerpo, y espiritu es lo que te hace vivir y es la palabra correcta cuando se refiere a la espiritualidad mental sea religion o sea la creyencia individual.

El certamen de Nuestra Belleza Jalisco se realizó en el Auditorio Telmex con un escenario enorme festejando el XV aniversario. Por ello al evento asistieron varias ex reinas como Ariadna Muro, NB Jalisco 2003 y Joanna Rivera Sibson, NB Jalisco 2004. Entre las concursantes las grandes favoritas eran Karla quien ganara Srita. Fotogenia y Maribel quien se llevará también uno de los premios especiales.
El jurado compuesto por varias personalidades como Vicente Fernández, Jorge Ortiz de Pinedo, Mara Patricia Castañeda, entre otros dio por ganadora a Karla María Carrillo González. Ella mide 1.76, su antro favorito es el Van Go, estudia diseño integral en el ITESO (misma carrera y misma universidad que Gaby Vázquez) y entre sus pasatiempos está ir al gym, modelar, leer y jugar basketball.
Otra de las grandes favoritas era Maribel Vivanco, quien es una reconocida modelo en Guadalajara y ha estado en varias portadas de revista invluso a nivel internacional. Ella estuvo modelando unos años en Estados Unidos para varias firmas importantes. Comentaron que puede que hayan una o más designadas para Jalisco y esperemos que Maribel sea una de ellas pues tiene mucho potencial. A mi gusto fue junto con Karla la que mejor proyección, respuesta y pasarela dió; simplemente le faltó suerte. Espero que le den su "second chance" jajaja (a la Trump). Maribel quedó como segundo lugar; como suplente quedó Mayra y como NB Jalisco quedó Karla María.
A la cita acudió la impresionante Dafne Molina quien comentó que este era el evento con producción más impresionante entre los estatales.
También se contó con la presencia de la guapísima Ana Gaby quien será la próxima en representarnos y en una semana parte a Kiev. Se vió muy segura, muy contenta, es una belleza muy distinta a la de Elisa y eso le pone sabor al asunto pues sabemos que las reinas mexicanas no son fabricadas bajo un mismo molde sino que cada una es especial y única. Me gustó mucho la energía que tiene y les mandó muchos saludos a los del foro!
La reina saliente, Lupita González estaba muy emocionada, y prometió al foro que pronto estaríamos escuchando de ella! Es muy probable que veamos a esta guapa alteña (ya que es oriunda de Tepatitlán, Jalisco) puede que sea nuestra próxima representante en el certamen de Miss Earth.

I'll tell you what I think about the MU 2008 final.
I rarely ever blog these days (well I have a really busy job now, not like my younger days). But I've been watching pageants over 20 years, so here are my comments.
The top 15 was missing some strong contenders like Panama and India. Maybe they didn't click well with the preliminary judges during the interviews. I was really surprised by the presence of some girls in the top 15. To me, it looks like MU org is trying make sure a certain group of countries keep coming back to participate by including these candidates. Well, I could be wrong.....
Although the final judges were rather harsh on some contestants, the panel as a whole knew what they were doing during the swimsuit competition. Colombia got the highest score during swimsuit portion, and I must say that I had not seen a great body like that for a while. Taliana was the absolute winner in this round. Venezuela looked lovely, and she was trailing closely behind Colombia. At this point, I had a feeling Tali was going to win.
Then came the evening gown competition. Two girls in the top 10 wore fairly revealing gowns. I like Miss Mexico's white dress a lot. The see-through stained glass dress worn by Dominican Rep. is far more revealing than Mexico's dresss but it looked really good on Marianne. As for Colombia's dress, I think it's one of the most beautiful dresses I've seen on MU/MW shows. It's different and memorable. Tali herself was flawless during this section. I thought Dayana didn't have a chance against Tali.... And regarding Miss USA, most people in the US think it was planned but I think she was just too nervous when a dancer didn't get out of her way in time. So she slipped.
For me, the top 5 should have included Kosovo instead of Russia. I guess one of the judges must have really liked Russia and kept giving her a high score.
Winning MU competition takes inherent beauty, hard work, national director's strategy, and a lot of luck. I'm stressing the luck factor because of the final question. A question can sometimes drastically affect the judges' final decision. But at the same time, it's almost impossible to measure a girl's intelligence and interview skill with just one question. Unless a girl is much smater than other contestants in the top 5 and has practiced getting interviewed for months, there is a good chance that she may not answer well.
Here's my review on each girl:
Colombia: I was really surprised she was not prepared for that answer. It was obvious because she was thinking for a long time before she responded to the question. I thought Raymundo would have make sure that Taliana didn't miss any standard questions. This is not an unusual final 5 topic at all. It's hard to imagine that everything in a person's life is perfect at every moment. Although her answer might be what she genuinely felt, it wasn't a good move. It was unfortunate, but if a candidate did not answer well during the final 5, her chance quickly diminishes. This is something Senorita Colombia organization needs to learn from. However, I must say that her performance during the swimsuit and gown competitions was perfect. She proved to the world that the best body does not have to come with big breasts! She is fairly flat for a swimsuit winner but she looked awesome. Plus, I love her smile. That's one of her best assets. If she had won, I would have been extremely happy also. Colombia should be very proud. Her candidate is truly extraordinary, and I am sure Colombia will have a chance again in the near future in both MU and MW.
Venezuela: She was my top favorite from the beginning. Even before she had the operation on her nose, I've always thought that she has the nicest face that I've seen in 5 years. Right after the evening gown round, I thought she probably wouldn't win and would finish as the 1st runner-up. She didn't come out ahead of the game until the interview portion. Her answer to the question - who has it easier, men or women?- was excellent and unique. "...Men think that the faster way to go to a point is to go straight. Women, no. The faster way to go to a point is to go through curves and fixing every curve" I was so impressed because I had never heard a beauty queen describe human behaviors with geometrical representations before. She was able to express her opinion precisely in such a short time. Let me explain more why I'm impressed. To go from one point to another, the shortest way is to go straight if there are no obstacles between the 2 points. I think what she was trying to say is that men usually try the brute force way (against the obstacles) and that make their lives unnecessarily more difficult. Women look for the most effective way or the least resistant path to solve a problem even though the solution may not appear easy or straightforward. This is also difficult for women but in a different way. The answer is not perfect in my opinion but it was much better than any beauty contest answers that I've heard in the last 10 years. Her answer was the reason she finished 1st among the 5 finalists. If I was one of the judges, I would still pick her as the winner even without the new nose and breat implants. She was so pretty already even before plastic surgery. For me, she was the absolute winner that night. Congratulations Dayana!
Dominican Republic: The girl did well, considering the fact her facial beauty is not as outstanding as others. She was tall and graceful in swimsuit. Her recycled dress would have looked aweful on another girl but it looked great on her. Her answer was good. It could have been shorter and more to the point. It sounded a little bit cheesy to me though. Her answer is 2nd best among the top 5.
Mexico: Elisa did everything perfectly and to the best of her ability during the swimsuit and evening gown competition. Her white gown is very beautiful, and I prefer it over the yellow dress. I don't think the white gown is too sexy or too revealing at all. Unfortunately for Mexico, she started out during the final night in the 5th place after swimsuit. The judges seemed to like other candidates more than her already. Then she jumped to the 3rd place after evening gown, and that was a huge gain (this is a proof that the judges did not dislike her gown). What really sunk her was her answer during the top 5. The question was rather difficult, and she was unlucky to have picked Cavalli. When is a woman truly satisfied? "I think that a woman can feel satisfied when she has a balance in her life, when she has her mind, soul, and feelings at the same level. It's important to have a balance between family, between your job, and between community". Mind, soul, and feelings - these are the same thing. So the first sentence does not make any sense. As for me, the viewer, a balance between family, job, and community is not what I have in mind for my satisfaction. Not everybody wants the same thing! For a lot of women, their career comes first, and everything else comes second. There are other women who don't have a career at all and only have family in mind, and that too is to be respected. Each individual is different. Don't tell me that I would be happy if I live my life in a certain way. That's why I really don't like her answer. I don't think this answer would please the career women on the board of judges, either. Plus, the "family, job, and community" thing sounds extremely rehearsed and very pageanty. I'm fairly sure that's why she was not in the top 3. In summary, she sounded like she did not have a personality and too rehearsed to answer from the heart (the truth is different - we know she has a good personality). But taking her swimwear and gown performance into consideration, she should have been the 2nd or 3rd runner-up. I was still surprised that she finished as 4th runner-up. Perhaps the judges gave her a final score based on her answer only. Nevertheless, she should be praised for working very hard and doing everything to get to the top 5. This is not something easy to do. Other countries have been tring very hard and still can't get to top 15.
Russia: I can't say what would have happened if Miss USA didn't fall. Russia is a little too voluptuous for the swimsuit portion, and I never thought she would get to top 5. When she was answering the question, she appeared strangely calm and confident. Her answer was too traditional like we were back in the 80's or 90's. However, there's no way to know what she said exactly unless a viewer knows the Russian language well. Maybe she said something good. Overall, I think she should have got the 5th place instead of Mexico. Like I said, I think a judge really liked her. Congratulations to Russia on her 4th placement.
Overall the show was fairly good (especially without Donald Trump Sr.) The best thing about the show was the winner. And now the Miss World contest has some real competition. It will be difficult this year for Julia Morley to find a MW winner as spectacular as Dayana! Get to work Julia!

despues de haber leido muchas de las opiniones de los que escriben en este foro quiero expresar mi opinion sobre el ultimo miss universe, con el debido respeto para los venezolanos la nueva reina universal es bonita pero bastante normal, sin algo espectacular como para haber sido elegida, tal vez el tono de cabello tan rubio no le favorece, se me hace una chica simple bonita y nada mas, respecto a la chica de colombia, esa si que no me lo esperaba, bonita, con un cuerpo bastante no agraciado, tirando a llenita, muy fresca demasiado para mi gusto, injusto el lugar obtenido, creo que aunque no me convence mucho su rostro la de republica dominicana tenia mas porte y cuerpo, solo que el vesturario que utilizo en traje de noche estuvo espantoso, la chica de rusia guapa, sorpresivo su lugar pero no me desagrado, pienso que estaba mejor que colombia y republica dominicana, y por ultimo mexico, quien tenia belleza de rostro y cuerpo, una buena estatura, y mucho carisma , ami citerio la miss universo del corazon de muchos, o casi la mayoria, es triste ver como miss universo se ha vuelto un concurso de marcado intereses politicos, colombia y venzuela al final tomadas de la mano , mucha la casualidad, poca la credibilidad, sin embargo estoy seguro que no es culpa de los paises ni de ellas finalmente no son ellas las que se autoeligen, sino la organizacion miss universo, coincidentemente venezuela y republica dominicana aun como candidatas hace algunos meses en el pdo. miss usa asisten a dicho evento como invitadas especiales de donald, y son coincidentemente el primero y segundo lugar del certamen, en fin yo creo que lo importante es el saber que tenemos a una gran reina mexicana de la cual estamos orgullosos, y que por ella no quedo el ser miss universo, sino por algo ajeno a la misma, lo importante es el espectaculo y la diversion y sobre todo el sobresalir y rrepresentar dignamente a un pais, me llama la atencion el comentario de alguien del foro que escribio sobre que elisa debe ir a miss mundo proximo yo opino igual, anagabriela es guapa, pero elisa merece por la situacion anterior que se le conceda la oportunidad de ser miss mundo, ojala que tomen en cuenta este comentario, ana gaby siento que le falta un poco mas, y podria ir mas preparada el proximo año, felicitaciones a elisa !eres nuestra reina iniversal, nuestra miss mexico universe!
