Subject: Football picked to win 3rd straight title; 6 players on preseason All-NEC team

Personally, there are a lot of question marks in my mind especially with the coaching change, but we do have a solid defense and excellent running game returning. A third title would be amazing!

Somerset, NJ -- According to a preseason poll of Northeast Conference (NEC) head coaches, Albany and Central Connecticut State are favored to win the 2006 NEC Football Championship. Central Connecticut State earned two first place nods after capturing back-to-back conference titles in 2004 and 2005.

Somerset, NJ -- The Northeast Conference announced its 2006 preseason all-conference football team this afternoon following voting by the league’s eight head coaches. Central Connecticut State and Saint Francis (PA) landed an NEC-high six players each on the squad, followed by Wagner and Albany with five apiece, along with two from Monmouth and one from Sacred Heart.

I like our chances...but all of the changes combined with a lot of road games will make it tough..can't wait for Sept 2!
